George Braunstein’s Experience in the Entertainment Industry

Mr. George G. Braunstein lives in Brentwood, CA with his family - wife and four children. The Hollywood life made George Braunstein intimately aware of all aspects of motion picture financing, production, and distribution, from the initial idea right through to worldwide distribution in both the theatrical and ancillary markets.

Of course a thorough knowledge of video making and the entertainment industry is essential but not enough to make you a good movie producer. While it certainly helps to know the ins and outs of the video production process, as well as how to finance and market a movie, it is often not enough to make a good producer. You need to feel the vibe of the industry and have a good practice in a felicitous atmosphere. And this takes time.

Participation in all the major film festivals and film markets, and establishing a working relationship with both US and foreign movie production and distribution companies took Mr. Braunstein many years. In the meantime he made a career in music production by recording 11 Rock & Roll albums for Decca Records and London Records in his studio.

In pursuit of new experience and practice Mr. Braunstein has become a member of the California Trial Lawyers Association as well as various local law associations. He frequently lectures at USC and UCLA, and has delivered seminars at the UCLA Independent Film and Television Producers Program.
